Nausea in pregnancy

Nausea and vomiting are the most common symptoms that cause discomfort during pregnancy, caused by hormonal changes experienced by the woman's body during this period.

They can have an important impact on the expectant mother: discomfort, loss of appetite, anxiety, pregnancy concerns and potential negative impact on the fetus.

For nausea and vomiting, antiemetic or anti-vomiting drugs are used only upon the recommendation of a doctor, as they can have dangerous effects on the development of the fetus. If vomiting shows no signs of stopping, or new symptoms arise, we recommend a medical check-up so as to have appropriate treatment prescribed.
